No longer works (fan or light bulbs) even though I replaced the batteries. Red light indicator lights up when you hit any button on the remote but nothing works. Any ideas ?

First step is to check the breaker or fuse for this room. If all breakers are good then you move to opening the canopy at the ceiling and check for power coming to the box via the black and white wire, should be 120 vac
