My babydaddy left me and my son whenever he was 3yrs old. And now my son is 8yrs old and just the past two yrs he just started to pay child support. Now he wants to take my son away. My son doesn't want to be around him at all and doesn't even like him. He has never came around to see him or any kind of events of his school. My son is terrify and scared that his daddy is going to take him away from me. But can he do that?

OR? Are you talking about visitation where his son will go visit him on the weekends and maybe a few weeks in the summer ? If that, yes of course he can get that. If he goes though the court

No I'm not an unfit mother.haha.. but he wants to take him completely away.. the only person who has ever help me with my son is my sons great grandfather neither nor the rea grandma or grandpa plus he has a record.. few yrs back he went to prison for a yr and ahalf for beating me.. so is there still chances even for visitation rights..

I guess, if the "dad" never comes around and has nothing to do with the son, who is telling the son all of these things to scare him ?

And of course he is going to say this, stating you are going to take the child is line number one in dead beat dads handbook to scare and try to control the ex so he can try to not pay child support.

He can, unless he is a danger get visitation though the court, But since he is paying support, I will assume you have a court order that shows you have custody of the child.
