Pain under heel, behind ankle but mostly along outer side of foot
I am out of state and can't see my doctor and just want something to do that may lesson pain so I can walk on it. The pain is on the outter side of the left foot. I is also in the heel and back outside of ankle. To be off it for any length of time causes extreme pain and limping with pressure. To cup heel and put any pressure on it is very painful. It is not a heel spur nor pain in arch. Usually to be on it a bit makes it less painful and slow walking on flat surface is the least painful. I have tried a variety of footwear, including shoeless, any speed or uneven surface is excruciating. Once off it the pain comes at just flexing my foot upward. I remember stepping on a small child's toy a while back. It was in a hurry and I didn't think about it at the time other than to encourage the grandchild to pick up her toys. However I think this may have been how it started.
Is there anything I can do to aleiviate some pain so I can walk in airports etc, without limping which doesn't actually help. The pain is unbearable. I already take both anti-inflamatory meds and pain meds for a neck injury and neither help the foot at all.
Thank you for hearing me out. I appreciate the time this takes to read and respond to.
