Well, this is kind of sad, however, I am 33 years old and live with my parents. My father is in poor healthy and my mother isn't "all there" mentally. They constantly are telling me to do things that they are perfectly capable of doing and say to me that if I don't, I can go "live in a box." They resently forced my to sell my car, and purchased a jeep. They are constantly on me for driving the jeep, and are always asking, "where i am going?" Tired of being treated like I where a child, however, I am not financial set to be on my my own, since I have been umemplyed for 3 years. Would like to know if there is anything I could do to end their constant nagging, and is there anything they could do to me.

Your name is positively apt. You are living off your parents and you want to sue them, come on now. On top of that you don't work, so why can't you find a job, and secondly would you be comfortable leaving your parents in such bad condition ?

What basis would you sue them on ? Would you have money for a lawyer and be confident you would win your case ?

Yes. Move out. They can do nothing to you as an adult if you live in your own place.

If you live under their roof, though, you are accepting to live by their rules.

If you are going to mooch off them... you better be happy to do what they say.

You became an adult at 18. Its time you started acting like one. You've had plenty of time.

Yes, they could tell you to grow up and make your own way in life. They could, for that matter, evict you.

That would be a step in the right direction.

Otherwise, while you're living off them you have to live by their rules. Shame on them for asking you to help them when all they're doing is putting a roof over your head and food in your stomach.

So how much rent do you pay them,? NONE?
How much do you pay for the food you eat? None?

I can see many things the parents could start charging you for and legally have a right to do so.

I would say, get off your duff, ( and the only thing you did not say was about playing video games all day , I hope you don't) and get a job and move out, or just take it and do what you are told.
