I have a three (3) piece tub and shower faucet (I do not know the brand) and the diverter from tub to shower is a push button or a push in and out knob. The house was built in 1973. I have been to All Right and one other plumbing company to find parts and they say the unit is too old. Can I remove this part and put new o rings and washers to fix the problem. If so how do I remove the part.

By "part" do you mean the cartridge? Without knowing what you have I have a real problem knowing how to answer. You have three knobs? Can you shut the water off, open up the valve and tell me what you have? A washer or a cartridge. Regards, Tom
