I have had a bypass surgey about two years ago I am still experiencing pain at the incision site I think the sternum. Its not an excruciating pain but constant. How long before this pain goes away after the surgey?

I'm AMAZED that it's last this long. What does your Doctor say?

My husband had bypass. He didn't complain of any residual pain.

Ask your doctor about costochondritis (inflammation of the rib joints). I was recently diagnosed with it and told it can be caused by heart surgery. It's treated with steroids.
