Me and cody have known each other for sometime now, but we have only been friends nothing more at least I thought. A couple of weeks ago we were talking about relationships and I asked him who he liked and he said you know her. Then after that we kept on talking and he gave me a note that he had wrote especially for me and no one else. It said I like you do you like me? I told him that I am not sure if I love or like you more than just as a friend. A couple of days later he told his friend to ask me if we were dating I said no and I regret that because kind of really like him. Now my friends think I am really in love with cody. I think I am too. One of my friends was even going to ask him out for me. I kind of hope she does now. He thinks that I like him. Is it love or not, what do you think? Should I be in love with him? I thought we were just friends?:rolleyes:

I don't know if you love him but it could be that you just like him or have a crush on him.

At 14 you like him a lot.

You like him.

You won't love any guy for some time.

But if you too do start "dating" you lay down the law up front on what you will and will not tolerate from young Cody. Then just have fun and don't get too concerned about your feelings.

Sounds like young Cody is a little confused about what he's feeling. How old is Cody?

I'm glad your giving him a deadline. Remember what I suggested in the previous post about telling him what you will and will not tolerate. This is a great example of what I meant. If he needs time to think that's cool and it's something every guy needs at some point so you have to be flexible in your approach with guys and listen and give them time when they ask. But don't ever, with Cody or for the rest of your life ever give a guy so much time that you give up yours waiting for him.

I think you handling the situation fairly and quite honestly, with great maturity.

Actually you probably just have a crush on him...

You're awfully young to be thinking "love." In fact I think you're too young to be able to experience actual love. It sounds like you have a potentially very good friend in Cody but I'd keep it at that ; nothing romantic.
