What is difrence between 120 volt rated breaker and 220volt?
Can we use 400/230 volt rated breaker in 208/120 v system?

Yes, I can always use equipment rated at higher voltages for lower voltage, but not the other way around, such as a 240 volt breaker cannot be used on 480 volts.

Another value to consider is the AIC rating, be sure the rating is higher than needed. This should not be an issue, as 480 volt systems are higher AIC than 208 volt systems, but does need to be checked.

A 277/480v breaker will not physically fit in a 120/208v panel.

    What is a "400/230" breaker?
