I had been to the US last year for 4 months and have SSN while my spouse has never even been to the US and does not have any SSN or any of the other documentation. I need to file my tax returns online and I don't have an option without mentioning my spouse's SSN. How do I file my returns online? If offline, what documents do I need to mail and to whom?. If you have been to the US only 4 month in 2010 on H1b, you are a non-resident alien and you would need to file a form 1040NR or 1040NR-EZ. These forms cannot be efiled, you would need to print and mail them in.
