    How Much % Of Taxes We Get Back.
    I have two W-2 forms from my Employer one for my OPT period and One for my H-1B.

    I Want to know how much percentage of taxes I will get back.

    Need to know how much money you made (Box #1) and how much federal taxes were withheld (Box #2), plus your marital status, plus WHEN you converted from F-1 to H-1B.

    MY total pay is 47K and out of which I paid 7500 in fedral taxes.
    I am single and in oct I converted from F1- H1

    You should file as a non-resident alien.

    If you are from India, you can claim the Standard Deduction of $5,150.

    Given these facts, your refund will be about $1,300.
