Me,my husand and 2 children moved to Florida in December and moved in with our parent the landlord was made aare of this. Parentsmoved out frbruary 1st. Me and my husband paid the rent for February. We fell into tough times in March abd did not have all the rent, well the landlady came over mad as hell caus we were their and not my parent but was getting her rent) she said she was silling to work with us and take money weekly, we gave her a total of $400 but told her we would have to skip one wekk to pay my biweekly car payent of $200, today, April 3 she tell us we have until Sunday to move out cause we are sqwatters and have no right to be there but had no problem taken out money. We all agreed to weekly pyments until we cwtch up with the exception for whne I pay my cwy biweekly. I don't understnd how we are sqwatters and evict us in 3 day, please some advice

You didn't pay your rent. You can be evicted. The landlord can call you a squatter or an illegal tenant or anything else in between. It doesn't matter. You didn't pay your rent.

You made an agreement to make payments. You then defaulted on the agreement.

You are being evicted in accordance with Florida law.

She called you squatters because you never made any agreement with her to be there.

But you are "tenants at will". This means that you are allowed to rent the place only as long as it is her will (or desire) that you stay. She has now apparently decided to give you a "pay or quit" (i.e: pay the rent or get out) notice.

But it is not clear whether she has given you a written notice. If not, she needs to do so before she can evict you.

Here are the actual steps for eviction in Florida. Guidelines for Florida Residential Eviction If the LL follows these steps you will be evicted but the process takes time. Did your parents have a lease, if so what were the terms? If there was a lease you can not alter the terms on your own, your parents and the LL could do that but not you.
