    Implantation Bleeding
I an unmarried 22 year christian woman who had sex mistakingly and did not use protection. My boyfriend did not ejaculate inside me. I was on my period or just finishing it while this went on. My period ended on January 6 or 7. Then this past Friday on the 19th I experienced a very light pink discharge and experienced it on sat as well. Then on Sunday I began what seems like a period, but it is not at all like a normal period. I am not experiencing any of my normal period symtoms: i.e. cramps, tender breasts, emotional, etc. I found out about implantaion bleeding and am very afraid I am pregnant. Are my symptoms a good indication of what could be a pregnancy?

First: There is not such thing as having sex by mistake.

Second: Implantation does happen, but is not really that common.

Third: Bleeding, other then period could indicate an infection as well. Only way to find out for sure is to see your doctor/ob.

Fourth: Are your symptoms a good indication of what could be a pregnancy? While the possibility is there, but there are other possibilities to explain your situation.

It sounds as though you may be experiencing ovulation bleeding. Please read the stickies that explain implantation bleeding and different types and causes of bleeding.

Since you are only 22 it is possible that you are only having a period. Someitmes we all have one of those wacko periods that are out of sync for our "schedules." Even the most regular woman will have one like this once in a while. Your hormones are not yet at the perfect level which is around age 28 on average.

With that said, I agree with Joe in that you cannot have sex by mistake.

If you have any concerns it would be prudent to visit your doctor.
