    Really bad sunburn on face?
I got a bad one on my fave by going to the moubtains with no sunscreen. ;( it hurts sooo bad! My face is peeling it self and my eyes are wrinkled and swolen. Here are some tips.
Take 3 tablespoons of ground meals and mix it with half cup of yoghurt. Rub this mixture on over your neck and face. Wash it off after sometime.

    • Two teaspoons oatmeal and a drop of honey must be added to half cup ripe papaya. This mask must be applied and kept for 20 minutes, after which it can be washed off.

    • Mix honey and lime in 2;1 proportion and apply on affected area. It can be washed off in 20 minutes.
A pinch of turmeric must be added to yoghurt and must be applied on the face, neck and arms for half hour on a regular basis.

    • Cucumber and lime juice serve to cool and lighten sunburn. Therefore, they must be mixed in equal ratio and applied often.

    • For sunburn relief, a paste of turmeric, barley and yoghurt must be applied on the sunburned area.

    • Consuming raw mango juice that is mixed with sugar and salt serves as a cool, refreshing drink. It will help hydrate the system.

    Does this help anyone?

I would especially not recommend the oatmeal, honey and papaya for a sunburn. Papaya has a natural enzyme for peeling. So can you imagine how much that would damage the delicate skin on the face.

Where did you get these remedies; I wouldn't use anyone of them if I had a really bad burn on my face.

I would suggest regular bathing with milk.

It does not burn except maybe if your burnt so bad it hurts to touch it but that all just the touching not the cream. Also Alo works well.

Aloa Vera is the best for sunburn, keep it in the fridge so its super cool and use at lease factor 25 on your face from now on unless you want to resemble a leather handbag in the future!

    WHAT VINEGAR! Are you serious?

That would be like rubbing salt on a wound.

Actually apple vinegar is the best,I used it personally (and still using it) and it really decreased the pain and the swelling of my sun burnt skin to the half after few hours.its been one day and this is the second since I got my sunburns and I'm almost healed :)

This thread is two years old, but someone would still have to prove to me that putting vinegar on a bad sunburn would NOT send one through the roof.
