I have two honda generators; one runs and no electrical output. The other will only run with the choke pulled fully.

Sounds like dirt in the carburator,not getting enough gas
Turn the needle valve open it a half a turn

If there is a filter on the fuel line replace it if not add one gas after 4 or 5 years can cause problems

I will go and check the eb5000x generator and get back to you in case it has a different carburator

I'm back checked the eb5000x

Under the carburator what looks like a selenoid, part# 15 might be a safety that shuts off the gas Have it checked
but first open the needle valve a half turn from right to left the same direction as a jar
If this works you still have to check the outlet for 120 volts
