I have an older AC unit I'm fixing and can't find the original 5 position switch. The part number (stamped on it) is a GE ASR5173-64. It's fan1-fan2-off-cool1-cool2. The label says 1HP120VAC and 20A120-240VAC. Any suggestions on a comparable part?

Not ideal, but hopefully this helps the next person landing on this page. I ended up grabbing a used ASR4173-301/95209* ROTARY SWITCH 92182 from Ebay.
It's only a 4-position switch, so I configured it to OFF, HIGH FAN, LOW FAN, HIGH COOL (eliminating the LOW COOL).
I figured out what the options were by using a multimeter on the old damaged switch and observing which of the 4 top contacts were shorted. You'll quickly finding out what each position does and that LOW COOL is really LOW FAN + COMPRESSOR and HIGH COOL is really HIGH FAN + COMPRESSOR.
The wires had to be moved around slightly.

The mount holes were different, so I had to drill some new holes:

The mount distance from the face was further away as well, but there was plenty of room inside the unit:

The result is a 4-position arrangement where HIGH COOL is in the same place, but the other positions have rotated a bit.
