Hi. I have a 1944 Lincoln wheat penny and I'm looking at it and trying to find the mint mark but I don't even see one. It doesn't even look like there was ever one there and the coin is in "fair" condition. I'm not sure cause I haven't taken it to a collector or anything but it really looks odd. The date is also kind of strange. The 1 is very small and the tail on the nine extends down quite a bit below the other numbers. Is this common or not?
