    Birth defects in teen pregnancy
If you get pregnant at lets say 13 what are the chances that your child will have birth defects or anything else?

It doesn't matter. ANY risk is too much.

No female should consider sex or pregnancy at 13. And sex = pregnancy.

Not to even mention the higher risk to the 13 year old child giving birth, The emotional and mental stress it causes, and the issues the child will have born into this situation.

If a 13 year old WERE to have a baby, there is a chance of Down's Syndrome with some amount of mental retardation.

Since the 13 year old body is not yet finished developing, there is also a risk for pregnancy induced high blood pressure and gestational diabetes. There is a great risk for preterm delivery which could cause the baby to remain in a NICU for days to as long as months. This also could cause permanent developmental delays as well as cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.
