Skid mark - Backed into or rear ended
We all fully stopped to make a left turn but the person in front of me put his car in reverse and slam into mine. There are no witnesses. When the police arrives, the person in front of me claims I rear ended him. Then the police issues me a ticket. The police said that he is based on the skid mark. Because the darker skid mark is far from his car, i.e. the lighter skid mark is near his car, I use the brake and hit his car. But the fact is absolutely not like that. I am quite sure that he drove back and hit my car. Anybody can explain why the skid mark shows like that?

While my car stopped, he was back and made my car moving when I was using the brake. That is the reason why there was a skid mark. It was from my car, not his car. Now the question is why the skid mark is from dark to light?
Why do I have to lie? I just want to know the reason.
