    Brand new transmission
I just recently put a brand new transmission in my 1986 honda accord but now that's its been a while since I put it it, it now seems like the transmission is going out.
My uncle who graduated from his class in UTI says that there is not a transmission filter in the transmission. Does anybody have any clue why why that is?

My problems are: having to go to like 4 thousand rpms and then it will shift(by the way its an automatic) and I would say about 10,000 miles are put on it if that it was a re-built transmission

Most Honda ATXs have an internal ATF screen. Warm up the engine and transaxle, drain the ATX, and refill with Mobil 1 Synthetic Multi-Vehicle ATF or Amsoil Universal Synthetic ATF. ATXs perform much better and last much longer using synthetic ATF.

OK OK how would I drain the tranny fluid is there a bolt or a plug I un-screw or or pull, is there a way to clean the atf screen? And is that what's making my tranny seem as if it was cloged or starting to go out?
