I had water dripping from the water spout on my G.e. FRIDGE. I replaced the water valve. It was OK for about a hour and started dripping again. What else can it be?

Which direction is the coil on the valve? Is the coil on top like it should be? Also, there is a possibility of sand on valve seat, a trickle of electricity partially opening valve, or the water pressure too high. The main problem I have seen is when the coil is below the valve body instead of on top of it or too high water pressure. Try unplugging wires to coil and see what happens. If this cures the problem let me know. DrTom4444
