Sure you can find an entry level job somewhere. But first off if you plan on doing and writing you need to work on your skills. Speak as if you have knowlage and that's how others will respond. Like with the term I'm. Take the time to do it right the first time.

    Good Luck with your G.E.D.

Maybe you need to figure out what's constructive or not. I was commenting on how they came across and not their basic intelligence. Did you have something to add to this discussion ?

Yes you can most certainly find a job without a G.E.D. My sister was in a similar situation (kind of thrown into adulthood a little too early (17 years old)) and started small working as a delivery driver for a local restaurant. While doing this, she completed her G.E.D.

She loved watching the cooks do their thing and decided to look into becoming a chef. With her G.E.D. she moved on to a local college in culinary arts, and is now working as a chef at 28 years old.

-- I'm happy to hear you want to help out your boyfriend. It may take a lot of effort on your part, but it will be well worth it in the long run.

    Good Luck.

Don't be too defensive Califdadof3. Your comment seem to "attack" the person asking the question. Your response, in my opinion, came across as, "sure you can find a job, but act like you are smart"... at least that is how I took it. And you were very specific to point out the use of "im" instead of "I'm", while at the same time making typo's of your own. So, please take this as constructive criticism.. . I did not give you negative feedback because you did answer the question.

What you don't seem to understand. In today's world there are conceptions that go along with what is said. When you speak of home schooling then your expected to be at a higher education level. With any application it wouldn't do the person well to apply for the job and use text speak. Taking the time to do it proper (which I believe the OP can do handily) will come as a benefit. Today's job market can be a tough one. If your at your best it is much easier to get that job when others are applying for the same position. Its not a knock to the OP its advice.

I understand completely. But I think you take for granted that Internet/Text speak is expected on the Internet, and typically doesn't translate onto a job application. Your advice is still good.
