    How do you predict the products of an acid and a metal? I have an exam in a few days so I need the answer ASAP. Thanks!:D

    An acid and metal combination would most likely fall under a Single Displacement type of reaction.

    Here is the general formula for SDR and an example. Notice the new position of the anion (C).

    A + BC --> AC + B

    Zn + HCl --> ZnCl2 + H2
