My friend from South Korea says she remembers watching an old movie with her mother when she was a child. She thinks the name of it is a purple wildflower. She says it was a love story and starred an Italian male singer/actor. (The movie was an American movie.)

I've been online looking at purple wildflowers and cannot find anything with a name that was a movie.

It could be Brigadoon - one famous songs from the movie is "The Heather On the Hill" - heather is a purple wildflower. It was directed by Vincent Minelli - that could be the Italian connection. If the movie was a musical, this could well be it.
