What is the name of the country western song and the artist that plays at the very very beginning of the movie? It is not a rap song... but pure country western: looks like it is not on the soundtrack... I don't get it!

If you ever find out the name of the music in the opening credits of the movie Colors (Sean Penn/Robert Duvall) please let me know. I've been looking for it for about a year now.

Why don't you take the easy route out and cheat by waiting until the end of the movie and looking at all the music which is in the film?
Or is that a silly answer have you done this, I will do my best to find this for you,

I too would like the name of the song at the beginning of Colors.

I think the band is Los Lobos

I'm 99.9% sure the song is an artist called Charlie Musselwhite, it is a re do of a los lobos song but this time it is sped up a little
It is from an album called One time in America
The actual song is called One time One night
Kind of figures yeah?!

Actually I just looked at the closing credits and it is listed but its listed as the los lobos track 'one time one night'
It should be this one but I think I have heard a version by the other guy too check them out if you can find them.
