Low Pressure on the Hot Water Side
A few days ago we noticed a significant drop in the water pressure on the hot waterside. It seems to be all over the house. We called a plumber to take a look. He said there is no leak and the only thing he can figure is one of the balls inside the hot water heater we installed less than 2 years ago has come loose and is lodged in the lines. He said the only thing we could do is to install new lines. The house is 30 years old, and when in was built they used all 1/2 copper lines. Does this diagnosis sound correct?

Your plumber was referring to the heat trap nipples coming out of the heater. We have got a lot of complaints about those nipples Change the nipples to brass ones and I bet your pressure will return. Good luck tom
