My notebook has VGA port and my TV has S-Video port? Is there a cable that I can purchase to connect the 2 so I can see my computer screen and be able to also watch movies/TV from my laptop to my TV?

There are just cables, but they only work if the laptop is capable of outputting a s-video signal through the vga port. This is a rare feature, but consult your documentation. You will most likely need a VGA-to-SVideo converter device similar to PC/MAC VGA to Video Converter. Be aware that the converted signal may look like... crap.

This should be less expensive than the Apple cable
