    I did not work this year due to health reasons my lesbian partner took care of me all year I made NOTHING. She was able to take her 2 children as dependants but not me... why was this

    She can claim you as a dependent. You are a 'qualifying relative.' You lived with her all year, I presume that your 'relationship did not violate any local law' (such as living with someone married to someone else), your income was less than 3650, and she provided more than half your support.
    If you get married, you are no longer a dependent, but can file a joint return.

    Oops, you don't say that you lived with her.. if you didn't, you don't qualify.

    Right. And in fact you must have lived together ALL YEAR in order for your partner to claim you as a "qualifying relative."
