How do you install a fan control and dimmer switch
    Hi All,
I am trying to install a new switch in my son's room that will control the fan and light. The new switch that I bought from Lowe's is divided into two levers with a three setting fan control (which moves up & down) and a light switch that slides up & down. Behind the new switch there is a green wire (groung right?) a yellow wire for the fan, a red wire for the light and a black wire (says neutral on back of switch). Inside the wall there are 4 wires: a copper wire (ground? ), a black wire, a white wire and a red wire. I tried just about every combination but nothing works. Is it possible to install this switch here, or will I have to control the fan by using the pull cord. It would be best to use this switch (Lutron fan control & dimmer - single pole?? ) I have no idea what I am doing!! Also I used the same switch in my living room for the light/fan, but there are more wires than in the bedroom.

    Thanks
