I have a friend who's adult daughter is living with the father of her baby. They are very wealthy
He's in the NFL making millions annually. My friend has been so poor for so long, raised this brilliant
Daughter who graduated from an Ivy League Univ. Recently, she drove all the way to her daughters house,
(rented)and her daughter had her arrested, handcuffed, booked and detained for trespassing for 24 hrs, in this wealthy little suburb town. I've never heard of any American police answering a call to find out it was really
A disagreement parent/child and arresting someone and furthermore, why didn't they release her on her own
Recognizance. Is the police or her daughter libel for false arrest? She cannot afford a lawyer,

You can trespass on your daughters or other family members properly. Being a mother gives you no right to enter or not to leave the property

And yes, American police arrest family members every day when they don't leave when asked.

    I can't see why you don't understand.

If daughter said leave, mother has to leave. If not, they call police and mother is arrested.

If mother and daughter is arguing, ( loudly) and neighbors call police, mother most likely would be arrested.

And bail is often that, bail, she would have to pay an amount to get out.

Also how the mother acted and what she did when police got there often makes the big difference

The mother was in total disbelief... There was no violence on the
Mothers part. When the police came back a second time, the
Daughter was almost hysterical. I don't know why you can't
Understand the difference between abuse and leave cause I said so.

No difference. The mother was arrested for trespassing. If the police came a second time the first was probably a warning.

I don't know why the mother couldn't understand being told "leave".
