The typical first thing to try is to hit the F8 key every 1/2 second or so during boot until you get to the safe mode screen, then select "last known good configuration" and it may fix what Commodo did.

The cursor you are talking about, is it the mouse cursor or just a blinking typing cursor.

If it is the mouse cursor, then just press Ctrl + Alt + Delete or Ctrl + Shift + Esc. The task manager should appear. Click File -> Run from the menu. In the run dialogue type - Explorer.exe
This should load your system as normal.

You now have 2 options, restore your system with Windows System Restore or
Just make sure you shell is set to load Explorer.exe only.
To do this, open regedit.exe located in C:\Windows. Now brows to ->
HKeyLocalMachine\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Curr entVersion\WinLogon there should be a key called "Shell" in the right pane. Double click on it and make sure the text reads Explorer.exe ONLY. If there is some text like "Explorer.exe resrv32.exe" then just remove the regsrv32.exe, click OK, close regedit and restart.

PS: Update your anti virus and do a though scan.

    Hope this helps :)

    Cheers
