How to make people like you when no one likes you?
I go to a boarding, school since September, I have a few friends but I don't have a group of friends. I feel so lonely, no of the girls are like my friends at my old school which was a state school. I'm doing my a levels. Everyone's really nice but their not my friends. In this school is if your cool people will talk to you if yournot then they look over you. In my old school I wasn't the most popular, but I was popular
I just want people to like me , I want some fun and laughter and not things to be so serious
I went to the concellor but she just spaced out and doesn't really get it
    What can I do?. Help

Try and get involved in some of the activities, find your niche.

Whether it is sports or drama or music, if you don't fancy any of them why not give it a try? As people get to know you they will get to like you, its always hard starting somewhere new.

If you can get involved in a team there will always be someone to hang out with.

Do you show you like the other students? Do you hang out with them and be available, or do you head off to your room to be alone? How do you show with facial expressions and body language that you're interested in them?

I'm thinking you have to make an effort to connect with them. As red suggested, get involved with a club or two that interests you and become a team member, not a loner.

Now, try this out and report back to us in two weeks. I'll be here waiting.

Use this to your advantage, being a girl that moved around a lot and changed school I understand what your going through! I was a very shy child growing up but when we began moving house I realized I could be whoever I wanted to be! I was able to pretend to all the other kids I was this confident, not a care in the world, person and they were none the wiser LOL and eventually I was and still am a very confident person. "fake it until you make it" as some of the guys say on AMHD
