Hello,
I have a similar toilet problem to a previously asked one, but I think it should be easy to diagnose.
My toilet flushes fine, then hisses, and does not fill up. There is no water coming out of tube in the tank.
However, if I shut the water intake off for a minute or so and open it, the water gushes in as normal and fills
The tank. Any suggestions?

If u have Flow Master filler, u have sediment in unit.

Remove cap and flush unit . Cover top with a bowl to keep water in tank.
