    Frozen account
My checking was frozen when I woke up the next morning by a creditor, called to try to settle account but no agreement, so they did what they had to so know my wife is panicking, but it is what it is, so I like to know my options to get out of this situation... p.s I work as an electrician and I have to to take off three months out of the year and I have almost nothing in my account just use it to pay bills by check?

They can't freeze your account without a court judgement AND a Writ of Garnishment. The time to have done something was before that.

Now since this was a JOINT account... they can take money in it if EITHER person has the Garnishment Judgement.

We need some more clarification. WHO had the judgement against them. If it was the OTHER person... get your own account now.

To get out of this situation you pay what you owe. If you can't pay what you owe, then you need to stop using banks until you can accumulate enough to pay.

It was a joint account my spouse and I, I have my own account now I don't know if I can cash my check, I will soon have to find out , I have nothing for them to take, we called the creditor who frozed the account and he said he can't give any more answers , he said it would probably take two months to clear now I don't know how to pay the rest of my bills, so use to checks...

They are called money orders. You can get them at the Post Office, Western Union, Walmarts or such places. There is also this thing called cash. For example, most utilities have offices where you can pay by cash. Phone carriers, electrical utilities, etc,

You still didn't say WHO has the judgement against them. You or your wife. They can and do have the legal right to go after which of you owes that debt.
