No doubt they did another ultrasound to check on the cyst they saw previously. Most cysts take care of themselves, but when they start to cause problems, your doctor may decide to intervene.

The cyst may be the reason for the unusual cycles, but it could also be changes in hormones... perhaps due to the start of perimenopause, which can go on for years.

What did your doctor have to say?

Said it could be a few different things, they drew blood to check thyroid, and scheduled me to come back in 2 weeks for ultrasound. He done pelvic exam and it was normal but wanted to be more thorough. He said it could be indometrosis, and menapause... so will wait to see. Thanks.
