I want to cover the concrete floors in my basement. Is there a recommended practice for insulating a concrete floor? I have seen the Dri Core type of subfloors, but I'm sure I could do it for less another way. Any Advice?

To answer the question , one would need to know what finish floor and what activities arer going to be there ?
It will be a family room . Sofa , television etc
MY plans are to just use inexpensive tile and use for a family room Sofa, chairs television etc.
By far the cheapest way it to use glued down indoor/outdoor carpet. Much more than that and you will have door issues.
