x-7<-2
You only need to treat them as normal equations, but keeping the inequality sign.
However, there are some things that you need to know:
1. When dividing/multiplying by a negative number, the sign changes.
2. It is always good to check in a value of x falling in the range of your final answer into the original inequality.
That should be okay for now. There are others, but until you get such problems, I think you'll be okay :) Those two are the basics I think will suffice if you know them well and apply them.
What do you get, when you try to solve for x?
