    Is this normal?
I've been having my period since February 11, 2011, very light for 3 weeks. Starting March 5, it went to a normal flow, but then lighter again From March 11 on (approximately). Now, I skipped December & January on my period, and it started light in February. I've been to the gyno, and she had me start Loestrin 24 Fe on March 13, and I've been taking it ever since. But I've still been having bleeding, not continuous or heavy. Is this normal for starting birth control? Do I just need to get used to it in my body? Thank you.

It can be normal for some women to have irregular bleeding once starting birth control pills. Sometimes it takes a few cycle for your body to adjust and become regular again.

Did your doctor do a pelvic exam, and perhaps an ultrasound, to determine a possible cause?

Yes, she actually said because I missed 2 months, I overgrew, which is why I was bleeding for so long. She gave me the birth control to regulate my period, and I just want to make sure that the bleeding is normal.
    Thanks for your answer !
