    Keeping security deposit
My landlord is keeping my security deposit, I don't dispute half of the deductions, but the other half he is claiming minor damages to furniture that was as is when I moved in. How do I go about taking him to small claims?

    Hello vt:

It's easy, and cheap. Just go to your local courthouse and fill in the simple forms.

As stated its easy and cheap, you can probably find a web site for the small claims court in your area that will give you details.

But I caution you that you will need proof. If you do not have photos or other evidence that the conditions were pre-existing, your chances arer not good.
