    Toilet issue
Our toilet on the first floor of our home seems to be working fine, however there is a constant dripping sound in the basement below the toilet that never goes away- should we have a plumber come in and check it out? What is the dripping? The house is 7 years old and we have lived here for over a year-the dripping has never gone away nor has it caused any issues other than being annoying. Any thoughts would be helpful.

It could be water seeping past the flapper on the flush valve. Shut off the supply and flush the toilet, hold the handle down for an extra 30 seconds. Does the noise go away now?
