    JPEG AND MP3 Problems
I recently formatted my comp, now some of the jpeg pictures that I had saved on a different hd and some of my mp3 players won't open or play. I have tried to find out what the problem was. I don't have a clue.

You need to determine whether it is an application problem, in which case there are two faults, or an access problem with the 2nd hd.

Presuming it is an app prob, can you open a jpeg/mp3 that is on your 1st hd? What is the error (if there is one)? If you can open either type of file then try and access the 2nd hd and load one of the files. What happens?

I have problems opening some pictures. Most of them will open normally. The ones I can't open I can't even see the pic, and when I try to open it it says "no preview available." These are the pictures that were on my 2nd hd that never got formatted.
I tranferred the pictures to the first HD. They still show the same message. I wonder if it could have been pictures I made edited with some other program I no longer have.

Possibly. Although jpeg files are fairly standard and any application would not have formatted them differently. What software are you using to view the picture?

Windows viewer. I installed adobe photoshop thinking that would be the answer. It didn't work. I am feeling quite desperate. A lot of these pictures are from my daughter, and I never made a backup. (how dumb is that?)
If you know anything please help!!

If you want to email me a picture that you can't open. I have Adobe Photoshop CS2, I'll give it a try. [email protected]

    Can't promise anything though.
