Replacing light in a bed room
I replaced the fan from the ceiling previously installed, to a light. There are 4 wires on the ceiling :black, red, white, and ground.

I connected black to black. White wire to white, ground from the house to ground from the fixture and the green wire from the bracket together, and the RED wire was left alone with the cap on.Problem, the light remains ON, and cannot turn ON/OFF when using the switch.

The red is probably the switched wire, and the black is probably a constant feed.

Try connecting the light to the red wire.

    Bed room light
I installed a light in a bed room , after the replacement , the light remains on whether I used a switch or not. What is the problem?

Did you replace an existing light... or did you completely wire a new light where none previously existed?

More than likely you miss wired the switch loop.

Do you still have the fixture loose in the ceiling?

We need to know what wires are in the ceiling.
