Could I be pregnant 2 weeks of unprotected sex ? Please answer! (TTC)

We have been having sex since my last period ended 2 weeks ago my period is due on the 3rd of April( in 2 weeks ) so that will be a month all together. So we are going 2 Carry on till my period is due to see what happens . But could I be pregnant already as we have been having sex for 2 weeks now and I have back cramp and feel like I have gained a bit weight. Any tips on how to get pregnant quicker?

Most women will ovulate about 12-16 days before the next period is due. Others, however, will ovulate a bit sooner or later, so frequent intercourse in the week or two after a period usually hits the mark. If you can have sex about every other day throughout each cycle, that would be even better so as not to miss the window of time should you happen to ovulate outside the norm.

To avoid disappointment and frustration (easier said than done), it is important to keep in mind that even with good timing, it can take most couples many months. There is a very small window of time each cycle that you can conceive. Most couples will become pregnant within the first year of trying, but some will naturally take a bit longer.

Going to play the "mom" card here: Since you are both so young, focus on how you would support a child. Do either of you have health insurance, good paying jobs, any goals to continue education, some money stashed away should one of you lose a job, etc.

Also, I know this is not something most young women think about, but would you be able to support a child if you ended up on your own? No one thinks those things will happen to them, but it happens to far too many young women and of course they certainly never expected it.

Do all that you can to best prepare yourself if you do become pregnant before long... definitely be taking a multivitamin with about 400-600 mcg of folic acid while trying to conceive. For both of you, make any lifestyle changes you know would be healthy... avoid cigarette smoke, even second hand smoke, eat healthy food choices, get regular exercise, etc..
