I tore up ceramic tiles in br. And I want to lay adhesive tiles. Would it b OK to level mud underneath & lay tiles? HELP!

Adhesive will not stick to mud job. Vinyl tile are designed to be installed on a wood type base.

I have never had any real success with adhesive tiles unless the surface was smooth and sealed with a special primer for press and stick tiles
