Le Sabre dies every few days
    94 Le sabre v6 100,000 miles

It runs fine most of the time.
    But dies on occasion.
    Can find no common denominator
    Examples:
    Died doing 70 down interstate
    Died doing 55
    Died doing 45
    Died doing 35
Died doing slowing down at red light
Died doing speeding up at red light
    Died stopped at red light

What my mechanic has done so far:
    Replaced
    Cam sensor
    Crank sensor
    Fuel filter
    Alternator
    Computer
    Coil pack
    Gas cap

Sometimes it will die twice in 1 day
Sometimes it will go 5 or 6 days without dying

I started using high octane fuel and it seemed to die less often
Going 12 days once without dying
Then going 7 days without dying then finally till today going 6 days without dying

At first when it died it would start up again right away.
Later it would take a few minutes before it would start
A couple of months ago it would not restart after over an hour.
It did the same thing yesterday.
Last time It started the next day and ran fine for a few days.
Yesterday it finally restarted after a couple of hours.
I drove it about 3 miles and it died again.
Went back today. Restarted it. Drove a about 5 miles and it died again.
Finally got it restarted after about 30 minutes.
Drove another 5 miles and it died. Started up about 5 minutes later.
    Finally got home.
    What Next?

    1. Install new ACDelco spark plugs that are identical to the ones that came in the car. Due to the difficulty of reaching the rear plugs on many V6 cars, they often are not replaced frequently enough. Platinum plugs should be replaced at about half the mileage recommended by the car's manufacturer.
    2. Install new Ignition Control Module (igniter):

You have a lot more patience than I would. After the fourth time dying,I would have been looking for another car. Mine is acting up and it is close to leaving.

I have not had any luck getting the Le Sabre fixed.
    I finally gave up.
My mechanic (a mechanic for 40+ years, my mechanic for 7) said he was going to have to start charging me for all the time looking for the problem. (He spent several hours looking at it without charging me - I have been a good customer for years and brought him new customers.)

    I bought another car.
My mechanic bought my Le Sabre for the engine and transmission. So I did not come out too bad.

Our mechanic did good for us. The additive he put in the transmission worked. So I guess it WAS the valve sticking. We have had no more trouble,so far.(Knock on wood).Hopefully it will last another 50,000 miles.
