Well I am 3 days late for having my period and in the past week I've been having headaches, stomach pains and lots of gas. Today (March 21,2011) I had the worst stomach pain ever and I didn't know what caused it, I thought it was because I hadent eaten anythigng yet and I was just hungry but unfortunately it wasn't that. I had gotten my period but it wasn't the same color as usuall it was light bleeding but the color was dark. Im really scared and all I want it some awnsers. If it s my period why was it late 3 days? And why did it make me so miserable and moody?

Pregnancy symptoms and premenstrual symptoms can be identical. Since you started bleeding, we can assume that your period started and is just a little different this time.

3 days is not really considered late in the medical community even for the most regular of women.

OK. What about having all the mood swings during the week? Being in a lot of pain under my left rib cage? What causes that?

It's most likely all part of the late period.
