How do I jump start an exhaust fan on a state select gas hot water heater?
It has happened before and a repair person jumped it and ordered a thermacoupler but it has lasted a year. I want to try it again myself to see if I can avoid a bill. The pilot light is lit.

    Hi Sammgwyn...

Sorry to say, and not to be overly dramatic, but even if I knew how to jump out the fan motor I wouldn't tell you how to do it as a failure here could result in excess CO (carbon monoxide) gasses entering your home and could actually kill someone... *UGH*

I have to say that the other plumber took a hell of a chance here... not smart!

I suggest you call a qualified plumber or even the manufacturer directly to resolve this issue, OK?

    I hope you understand... ;)
