A few years ago I helped a friend out by letting her and her son move in with us. I helped them out further by putting my name on the title of a 91 ford ranger. Now she has moved out and refuses to pay for any taxes on the truck and refuses to come sign off on the truck so I can get off the title. What can I do to get off it.

I am confused and wonder how you putting your name on here truck title helps her? What taxes are you referring to, the yearly license plate?

The only way I see putting your name on the title helps her is to hide the asset from her creditors. But a truck that old wouldn't be worth much.

So don't pay the tax on a truck, who cares, let the state take the truck, or don't let them get a license plate
