Hi, my pups is american staffy, almost 9 weeks old. He's always active cheerful and never been picky on food. Last night is the last meal he had (canned puppy food) at 9pm. Now is Saturday afternoon 4.30, and he has not touch his meal, he drinks only little water. I did try give him chicken necks instead of puppy can food, but he doesnot touch it either. My vet has closed an hour ago, please help! Do I need to worry? My email: >Removed<

If it has only been less than a day since he ate I wouldn't hit the panic button yet.
He has (I hope) only been with you for a week and is still settling in.
If there are no other symptoms (vomiting, diarrhea etc) then I would just wait a little longer and see if he eats his next meal.

Try tempting him with some baby food. If he's not drinking very much I would take him to an emergency clinic. Is he up to date on shots? Does he have a fever? Is he coughing? Does he have a runny nose? Is he peeing and pooping and, if so, is it normal? All of these are important questions.
