    Reminding other parent of visitation
Is it one parents legal resposibility to remind other parent when they are supposed to pick up or have visitation with child? Both parents received the same papers. Should one parent have to keep up with other parents visitation and make sure they are aware of it? Or should the parent just go to pick/drop off point and see if other parent shows up?

No, each parent is responsible for himself or herself. Often parents do remind each other, just to ensure that the child is not left disappointed, but there is absolutely no legal requirement to do so, any more than you would remind the other parent to pay the gas bill.

Has there been an issue with the other parent not being there?

Yes for special visitations such as holidays or birthdays etc. There is joint physical and legal custody with alternating weeks. When special vistation for other parent falls in week I have child unless other parent is told then usually other parent is not heard from and not there for pick up

Then, for your own sake, I would contact him and confirm he will be there. Better than a phone call would be e-mail.

Thank you. It just gets very tiresome to tell her something that she should make an effort to know herself

Thank you for you insight. It gets tiresome to tell someone something that they should make and effort to know. Child is usually happy instead of disappointed just need to know the legal aspects of situation.

Some people remember things more or better than others.
So do you want to be sitting at the meeting place without them showing up?

Why does it hurt to call and remind them, esp if this is a special not every week meeting time and place
