I was in USA from Jan-01-2010 to May-31-2010 in Virginia. I received a W2 form and I am eligible to get refund. Taxable marital Status is married. I need to get ITIN number of my spouse.
I understand I need to submit the tax return form from india along with appliation for ITIN number for my spouse with attested photocopy of her passport and apostile issued from ministry of External Affairs, india.

1. Please advice if my understanding is wrong.
2. Please advice the form name/number I need to submit as tax return and the address where I need to post the forms and applications.
3. Form name to get refund of VA tax refund and address.
4. I still have active bank account in US. Can I get refund on that same bank account or I will get cheque by post on my indian address?
5. How much approximate time it should take to get the refund on my case?

What visa do you have? Which return did you file in 2009? I doubt you are eligible to file joint return as residents; you may have to file nonresident tax return.

I have L-1 visa.
I have not file any return for 2009 as I landed USA on jan-01-2010.
Please advice.
